DRAWING GAME · IOS / PROTOTYPE

Sketchy

Exploring drawing as a way to communicate form, proportion and spatial relationships.

Sketchy starts with a reference and asks how clearly a drawing can convey it. The player draws freely; the AI interpreter receives only that sketch. Looking at what came through makes visual communication the focus of the game.

The drawing room

Six reference studies for freely drawn sketches. Native iPhone prototype capture.

Starting point

  • Communicate a subject without a written description
  • Choose between a quick sketch and more detail
  • Compare the drawing with an independent interpretation

Native iPhone and iPad prototype, with no TestFlight or App Store release. Interpretation quality and learning benefits are unvalidated. It produces flat illustrations, not 3D models or printable meshes. The backend is for private owner testing.

What I’m exploring

Drawing as communication

Form, proportion and the spaces between parts can carry information that is difficult to put into words. Six flat studies provide a bounded starting point while the drawing itself remains unrestricted.

Evidence beyond points

A reconstruction can reflect the interpreter’s assumptions as much as the drawing’s clarity. Learning would need evaluation on new subjects and independent human interpretation, beyond the game score.
